RV Resort

1. Office Hours are: 10am-4pm.

2. Quiet hours are 10pm-7am.  No loud music/noises that are a nuisance to other guests. This includes generators unless its an emergency. The playground closes at 9pm or dusk, whichever comes first. No visitors during quiet hours.

3. Dogs will be leashed at all times unless in the fenced dog park. Pet waste will be picked up immediately and disposed of properly. Pet waste will not be performed in any building, meadow, bush, tree or meadow. Violators will be fined $80 and repeat offenders will be ejected without refund.

4. Barking or aggressive dogs will be required to leave the park if they become a common nuisance to other guests.  Dogs cannot be kept leashed outside without an owner present. Pets are not allowed in common buildings unless they are service animals.  Animals are prohibited in restrooms.

5. Driving paths along the resort fence line are restricted to resort employees.

6. Age and aesthetic recreational vehicles preferred. 15 years old or newer.  Exceptions are on a case-by-case basis from company management.

7. Guests staying a month or longer might be background checked.  We reserve the right to not provide service at our choice.

8. Children under the age of 14 are required to be supervised at all times by an adult (18+).  Climbing trees, throwing stones, and play that may cause injury to persons and property is not permitted. Guests are responsible for all behavior of the children in their group.

9. All outside visitors are required to check-in and register with the office during office hours. Guests booked with the RV Resort are responsible for their visitors.

10. Gates to the property will be closed from 7pm – 8am.  A code to open the gate will be provided. The gate code does change, and the code will be provided to the guests registered email.

11. Any behavior that threatens or is harmful to a visitor, guest, employee, animal or disrupts another’s enjoyment will result in the violator being ejected of service without refund.  This includes loud, boisterous, threatening, abusive, insulting and indecent language, public drunkenness, illegal drugs, and disorderly conduct.

12. Speed limit is 10 mph. No off-roading is permitted.  This is strictly enforced. All drivers must possess a valid driver’s license.  This includes ATV’s, UTV’s, Golf Carts, or similar.

13. Smoking/vaping/chewing tobacco is prohibited in all buildings, playgrounds, meadow, dog parks, and common areas and within 50 feet of them. All smoking/vaping/chewing tobaccos materials must be disposed in proper receptacles.  Do not throw your trash on the ground.

14. Do not feed or handle wildlife, including butterflies. Do not harass or approach wild animals.  Notify employees of wild animals.

15. No solicitation or sale of any goods, products or services is allowed without full written consent from resort management.

16. All RV’s must be fully self-contained, well-kept, and in good condition. Guests are responsible for maintaining a clean and organized appearance of their site. No trash is to be left out on the ground. Violators will be fined a $80 fee.

17. Each site is charged for 1 RV, 1 vehicle (golf cart not included), 2 adults, 3 children, 2 pets (dog/cat).  Additional overnight persons to the site are charged $15 per day. A maximum of 6 total persons per site per day allowed.  No parking on vacant or undeveloped sites, or on the grass/landscaped areas. Additional vehicles/boats are $50 per month and will be parked in a designated area for storage.

18. No outdoor freezers, outdoor refrigerators, fencing, barriers, pallets, dog kennels/pens/runs allowed.  Items outside the RV are limited to patio and yard furniture/accessories.  All other items must be stored away.

19. All water hoses and sewer lines must be free from leaks.

20. No discharging or use of fireworks are allowed.  Firearm use is strictly prohibited unless you determine it necessary for legal self-defense and you accept full-responsibility for the firearms use and payment for all damages. Unholstered handguns or other uncased weapons, including rifles, shotguns, and bows and arrows are prohibited. Please keep all cased weapons locked in your vehicle. No explosive materials or other dangerous substances are permitted. Discharging of any type of firearm or weapon, including pellet, BB, firearms, and Paint Ball is prohibited.

21. Alcohol and glass containers are not permitted in any common area without full written consent from resort management.

22. Zero-tolerance for illegal/criminal/drug related activities. It will result in a $200 fine and ejection without refund. All damages will be included in the fine.

23. All persons must have a valid drivers license to operate ANY motorized vehicle on the property (including golf carts).

24. No repairs or washing of vehicles or RV’s is allowed without full written consent from staff management.

25. Damage to the company property, including but not limited to restrooms, utilities, offices, landscaping, vehicles, street lights,  WIFI, or signage is strictly prohibited. Guests will be held financially responsible for the repair and replacement of any damages and ejected without refund.

26. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, the right to refuse any RV that is not in good appearance or age, and to evict/deny access to anyone, under any circumstances deemed necessary. No refunds if you choose to shorten your stay or have to be asked to leave due to violation of our rules.  Policy rules are designed for safety, convenience, and a clean resort for guests enjoyment.  We are a service oriented business and therefore we do not have a landlord/tenant relationship/agreement with any daily/weekly/monthly/yearly guests.

27. Guests and visitors enter at their own risk.  The owner, employees, and Abilene Butterfly RV Resort is not responsible or liable, financially or otherwise, for any loss, theft, injury, accident, fire, illegal activity, wind, flood, earthquake, Acts of God, or damage to visitors, guests, animals, personal property, personal vehicles, and personal items. Guests and visitors are responsible for any damage to the park property or their own.  Guests and visitors are required to have current up-to-date registration and insurance for physical damage and liability insurance for their vehicles.

28. Be aware of wildlife.  We are not responsible for injuries from animals, reptiles, mammals, or insects. Do not feed wildlife and do not leave food outside for wildlife. Care should be used in the disposal of food and garbage to avoid wildlife encounters.

29. Property rules, regulations, terms, conditions, and rates may be changed at any time without prior notice in its sole and absolute discretion. Guests who do not adhere to our policies will be asked to leave without refund. Safety and enjoyment for all of our guests is a priority. Any situation not directly covered by the terms and conditions will be addressed by management.

30.  Trimming of live trees, branches, and other native areas is prohibited. Do not burn any firewood that does not completely fit within your fire ring. Adhere to all burn laws. Do not burn trash. Violators will be fined $80 and possibly ejected without refund.

31. Night lights on the front and rear of bicycles, scooters, or like items, are required for night time use.

32. Photography: We use video surveillance for the security and protection of our guests. We also use on-site candid photography for advertisements and promotions. Entrance to this property constitutes permission to be photographed while on the premises and for any resulting photos to be used by Abilene Butterfly RV Resort for lawful purposes without compensation or notification to the guest.

33. A guest is the person(s) that are reserved to the site.  A visitor is the person(s) invited by the guest. A maximum of 6 total persons per site per day allowed.

After-Hours Assistance

  1. For all emergencies, call 911. For urgent immediate needs please call the maintenance number provided.

Meadow Specific

1. No walking into non-pathed areas of the butterfly’s wildflower meadow. Obey all barriers, railings and posted signs. Do not pick flowers or hurt the plants, they are for the wildlife.  Violators will be fined $80 and possible ejected without refund.

2. Do not remove/take wildlife from the meadow, even if they are dead.

3. Our worst fear is someone being injured in our meadow.  Please be aware of the wildlife and where you are walking, we are not responsible for guest or visitor injuries.  This includes pathed and non-pathed areas.

Check-in/out & Reservation

  1. Check-in time is any time at or after 2pm.  Earlier check-ins are available if the site is available. Please call the office.
  2. Check-out time is 11am. If a late check-out is needed, please call the office for approval. A fee of one-nights stay will be charged if late and not approved.
  3. All reservations are to be paid in full at time of check-in. All reservations require a one-night deposit to be paid at the time of booking. Valid government issued photo identification is required. The person making the reservation is the primary renter of the site and is responsible for the actions and safety of the sites guests and visitors and will be liable for any actions or damages caused by these guests or visitors.
  4. By providing a credit card number, you are giving authorization to Abilene Butterfly RV Resort Resort to automatically bill your credit card for any outstanding costs due upon arrival and any costs accrued while at the property, and any outstanding balances not paid at the time of departure.
  5. Sites #’s are subject to change prior to your arrival, unless a site lock fee was paid during the time of booking.
  6. Prior to departure, please ensure that your site is clean. Excessive cleaning will result in a fee dependent on the cleaning required.

Cancellation Specific

No refunds on major holiday weekends (state/federal).

Cancellations made before 72 hours prior to arrival will recieve a $15.00 cancellation fee.

Cancellations made within 72 hours of arrival will forfeit a one-night stay for the reserved site. This includes no-shows.
